I’m a writer, and I also like to build things, eat and drink things, cook things, research obscure things, and, ultimately, I like to have adventures of all stripes. I’d like to tell you about some.

Along the way you’ll encounter references to a number of characters. Here’s a few:

Winston: Part black Lab, part Dalmatian, part Rhodesian ridgeback, part horse. This picture was taken a few years ago when he surprised me by sneaking out the cat door (how does a 100 lb dog get through a cat door? Here, have a look) — he looks so proud, right?

Since then he’s lost the sight in his right eye (“When 900 years old you reach, look as good, you will not.”) but his coat still looks just as good.

Kione (Kiki) and Clementine: My two kitties. They’re both older kitties now — Kiki is at least 13 (not sure how old she was when we adpted her) and Clementine at is 12 (got her as a kitten).
